Spring has Sprung
Spring has sprung! That used to be a favorite saying of my dad’s. Of course, in Colorado, where I grew up - we usually said that in June - not April…..
Here it is the early part of April, and it’s definitely spring. We’ve had our first 80 degree day - and was it lovely. It happened over the weekend while we were having the open house. It was lovely to sit on the front porch, listening to the birds, and relax. It reminded me of when we moved to our house in 1986, and used to sit out on the soon-to-be front porch and listen to the birds, and no traffic. Since then, Jug Run has become much like a highway - well, during a couple of peak periods of the day - but not McKee. It’s really quiet, and the birds really like the property over there. There are plenty of trees and flowers, and they love the bird feeders in the back of the house.
We didn’t have a lot of volume, but had a great time showing the house to the people who did make it out. I think we may have been competing with an Ohio State Football game - and were, of course, no competition….. We did get some increase in the volume of people on the website www.stahlsfarmvacations.com though. I’m looking forward to renting it, and bringing the first people out to see what our farm life is about. Either way, we’re open for lodging in the Knox County Ohio area.
The lambs are also coming in droves. We’re up to about 35 lambs now - expecting a around 70 at this point. I’ve posted some new pictures of the lambs on the website. They’re just the cutest little things - and the one quaduplet that Frank has been bottle feeding seems to be doing great as well. Looking forward to seeing them out running in the grass maybe the next nice warm day we have.
